My local library has one of his books (Becoming the Answer to Our Prayers), but not the one that sounds most interesting, "The Irresistible Revolution". I'll peek into the book my library does have next week, though.

Thanks again for reading and commenting, and double thanks for the Claiborne recommendation. :)Stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15097908023032528200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980951139270141970.post-28330946325212633722009-06-24T16:03:38.017-05:002009-06-24T16:03:38.017-05:00Another thing, have you read Shane Claiborne's...Another thing, have you read Shane Claiborne's stuff? You should. He's an excellent writer and an astounding thinker. Try them! There are two that I know of.Pom Pomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01524994024698986829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-980951139270141970.post-77702399743042234552009-06-24T15:58:14.423-05:002009-06-24T15:58:14.423-05:00Jesus doesn't need any help being understood o...Jesus doesn't need any help being understood or being attractive. He's real, he DID die because he is the visible expression of the invisible God. You can think about him and think about him, but my guess is that he'll appear to you in a dream or place someone in your path who really knows him. You are an intellectual and he didn't seem to place the value on that that our society tends to. He said some pretty controversial stuff. Obviously, his material still confuses us. I thought Blue Like Jazz was a little self promoting. We just can't help ourselves, we're self obsessed! I got the feeling the author was trying to put a jazzy spin on seeking a relationship with Jesus, that's why I say Jesus doesn't need our help. I like reading literary blogs and your blog is entertaining.Pom Pomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01524994024698986829noreply@blogger.com
